I was going to suggest clicking on the three-dots menu show at the right side on https://git.drupalcode.org/project/select_or_other/-/project_members, and selecting Leave this project, but it seems it does not work, or it is not immediately done. When I tried, I was still co-maintainer, but without the Write to VCS permission.
