Module does not allow translation of title and body fields

I have been trying to discover the appropriate way to translate the title field of the Site Map page for a bilingual site I'm developing. However, it seems that the module does not provide an interface (or documentation of any interface) to translate the Site Map page's title.

I did find reference to a very old bug report about the same situation occurring in D6 however the solution provided there does not port to D7's translation system.

What is the preferred way to allow translation of the title and body fields of the Site Map module (as configured in /admin/config/search/sitemap)?
