Complete Newbie question, bear with me. :-)
I just installed this module (configured it and allowed it to be seen) and I am wondering how to see it's output. Other modules on my site I can see with URLs like /drupal_test/?q=event. I was thinking this would be ?q=sitemap or site_map.
How should this site_map.module be used?
Thanks,
Andy

njivy commentedYour guess is good. The Drupal path is "sitemap", though I don't know why you could not access it. If you want it to show up in the Navigation menu, you need to enable the "site map" menu item in "administer" -> "menus". This will only work with a recent version of Drupal, like the CVS version or what will soon be Drupal 4.5.
On my website you wrote:
"please update your install doc with more information (and correct module name)."
I will make sure this is in the documentation. What problem do you see with the module name?

njivy commentedAn example sitemap can be seen at:

AFL commentedI enabled the Menu module and I have that block working on the site. For Site_Map to work do I need to create a new Taxonomy Vocabulary called "sitemap"? My Admin -> Menus -> Create just shows me my three Vocabularies for different parts of the site.
Home » administer » configuration » modules >> Site_map seems okay as well. I put in a default message, all three boxes are checked and 0 for RSS feed.
Any other basic install tips/suggestions?
Thanks,
AFL

theoa commentedI have tried /sitemap but I get a "page not found" error. I am on drupal 4.4.0.
the install doc for sitemap refers to the "collimitor.module".
njivy commentedOh, I see the problem with the module name! The install doc should read "site_map.module", not "collimator.module". This was the result of a careless copy&paste on my part. I'll fix that.
theo, you probably noticed in the install doc that it says "This module requires the lastest version of the current Drupal CVS version." This means Drupal 4.4.0 will not work with this module. That's why there is no 4.4.0 release of site_map.module.
AFL, are you also using Drupal 4.4.0?

AFL commentedI see! Thanks. I am using 4.4.0 and I do not have the collminator module. Thanks for the info. For now I have a manual static page, the site is simple. Thanks for the feedback everyone. Issue closed.
