Now that the check_plain function has been removed from core, we need to keep simplereservation up to date.
#2297487: Remove the check_plain function

replace with \Drupal\Component\Utility\String::checkPlain().

Since its easy to show that check_plain was just a wrapper for another function :-

function check_plain($text) {
  return String::checkPlain($text);
}

This is trivial and I will commit immediatley
