This issue is to discuss whether this field formatter should be promoted to be a non-sandbox "real" project.

If a few people have tried this module and would like to see it promoted, I will do it. Add your vote here.

Promoting it to a real project means:
- A higher level of commitment on the maintainer's part to respond to issues, update to new versions of Drupal, etc.
- More visibility (shows up in more module searches, and seems more reputable to potential users)
- Ability to make a real 1.0 release and have real downloads on the project page.
- A belief that it belongs in with the other real projects on Drupal.org

I'm not sure it's ready yet, after having been a sandbox for only a few days, but I'm open to being convinced. :)

+1. I really like the concept of this module, and think it is the most intuitive way from a site builder perspective to display a Google Map on their page.

OK... I think we should resolve this other issue #1416452: Make 1 formatter with options to display/not on map, link, and text rather than having multiple formatters first, and then I'll probably promote it and make a 1.0 release.

If someone else wants to make a patch for that other issue, that would be welcome. :) Otherwise, I might get to it sometime, but it may not be my highest priority for Drupal.org contributed modules (I'm working a lot on the API module lately).

I have just made this into a "real" project, and have made a 7.x-1.0-RC1 (release candidate 1) release. Please download and test!

But if you were using the Sandbox module previously, you will need to read this note:

Yes! This is a great easy peasy module!

I'm sorry that I can't help you coding, may be I can translate to Spanish.

Thank you!

As you may or may not know, to translate any module into Spanish (or any other language), go to localize.drupal.org. :)
