I have installed this module but this module does not work even break up the site. Page shows The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

what related errors you see in your server logs?
do all pages show server error?
can you login as admin(uid =1)?

works OK in my server as well here at http://simplytest.me/project/simple_cache

I was able to replicate the issue on 7.x-1.0-alpha5

Fixed it on dev & committed to 7.x-1.0-alpha6
