Hello,

For the site that I am working on, I look to allow a persons to sign up multiple users at once. The special need that I have is that those users have no login. An example: you organise a BBQ and you allow registered users to bring their family. So, if the user registers, he might want to take 2 reservations (one for him and one for the partner) So, after his reservation, there are 2 spots less available.

I did see the previous posts and the referral to sign up a friend (http://drupal.org/node/45248). I tested it against my requirements and there is non fit. This feature requires the friend to have a login. In my requirement, this is not the case. Giving the family members a login to the site is not a valid option for my site.

Would it be possible to add a field that allows the user to select how much places he will take while signing up?

Would partially help as I expect the number of free signups to decrease with the number of people selected in the dropdown. Does not seems to be the case in that topic.

Example: You create an event and allow 50 signups. The first persons signs up for 5 people. as a result, there are now 45 free slots and not 49. Ideally, the number of free slots is also displayed when signing up.

This feature may bring a lot of problems. What #3 said also need to be resolved. So, If you really need such a function, please give further advice and solutions. Thanks.

This is duplicate with #45248: Ability to signup for a friend. Just because at one time a solution discussed in there doesn't fit your use case doesn't mean we need a separate issue for the same request. ;) Let's please focus the conversation where all these things have already been discussed and considered.
