I installed the latest dev version as well as the latest dev of Java Script Callback Handler module. Something about that configuration doesn't play nicely with Administration Menu module. My menu disappeared. Fortunately, I had my site open in an additional Firefox tab and the menu was still displaying there. I think this issue is likely related to SHS because I previously had the dev version of JS module installed and never noticed an issue with the menu.

Same here.

But this issue is related only to JavaScript callback handler, just uninstalling it makes Admin Menu to come back. So the solution is not up to Simple hierarchical select mantainers.

Well, I installed Java Script Callback Handler v.7.x-1.0-beta2+2-dev, and my Administration Menu module admin menu still displays. However, my SHS exposed filters disappeared when I updated from the beta to dev version of JS, and to fix this we were advised to update SHS to the dev version. https://drupal.org/node/2001298 After I updated SHS to dev is when my admin menu disappeared. That is why I posted the issue at SHS.

To continue with testing, I installed the modules in reverse order, SHS dev, and then JS dev. My admin menu did not disappear until after installing Java Script Callback Handler and adding the rewrite rules to htaccess. So, each module plays nicely with Administration Menu individually, but installing them both changes matters - in whichever order they are installed. I don't know which module issue queue this would be best addressed in.

To clarify - the conflict is with Administration Menu module, and I am using version 7.x-3.0-rc4.

I think it's a good idea to post this same report on 3 issues, one for each module. With this problem in sight maybe coders involved on those projects will start looking for bugs related, even when they are not working on the issues per se.
