Limit number of shouts per hour / day / user + bulk delete?

I'm about to push this great module into production and
my biggest worry is those annoying people that send 50
shouts in a row just to own the entire shout page, and
considering there is no way to "bulk delete" as admin
my nightmare is to having to click on delete->confirm
50 times on such occasional...

Can you kindly consider any one of these two ideas?

1) some kind of configurable limitation on the number of shouts per user,
just like how drupal's default contact module allows 3 emails per hour, etc.

2) for admins add checkboxes next to the shouts to allow bulk delete much like content listing
