Since start of this month I'm getting spam posted by anonymous users.

I think shoutbox postings should be integrated with other antispam modules.

I hate to say this but im starting to agree with the above, since the start of my site a month ago I have been getting hit daily with spam. Please please please intergrate this with exisiting spam solutions. Im using reCaptcha personally. but mollom as well please!!!

im using shoutbox with re-captcha and it is working.
you just need to add the form_id : "shoutbox_add_form" in admin/user/captcha
but then, there is an error in the form : http://drupal.org/node/973438
