Applying for commit access

I kindly request commit access to this project.

In my organisation, we have found this plugin an essential tool in increasing the ease-of-maintenance of our website.

So far, I have created the following issues with suggested patches:

• Add mid (media id) and style attributes to the [img] shortcode
• No output from custom shortcodes
• Create a block shortcode

I have done further work on the project to increase functionality and apply Drupal/Drupal Best Practice standards. We are currently using our own branch of the plugin to introduce the functionality. This branch is being developed at https://bitbucket.org/uebsweb/shortcode.

If I were to become a co-maintainer, I would seek to apply these changes on 8.x-1.x-dev by creating new issues for each change.

My overall intention is to increase the functionality of the shortcodes plugin to take full advantage of Drupal reference objects such as files, images and links. Shortcodes are a great way to reference entity system paths or ids, rather than writing a URL which could change.
