Sheetnode as cck nodereference field

Thanks for the wonderful module. I really love this module.
In my website I have a cck object 'Event' and I added sheetnode as a nodereference field to maintain details related to the Event. I wanted to add and edit a sheetnode (more like embedded edit) whenever I create/edit the Event. When I create a new Event, I have made changes to create and display an empty sheetnode as part of the Event creation screen. This is similar to having sheetnode as a cck field, but since that is not available I tried to have this as a nodereference and create/edit it as part of the parent object.
The issue is I am not able to save the changes made to the sheetnode when I save the Event object. How do I get the changes made to the sheetnode to be saved as part of the Event object save? I have attached a screenshot of the Event creation screen that has the sheetnode as a tab.
