When I import xls spreadsheets, any cells with content without a colour formatted come in as black - see attached screenshot. The A Column which had a yellow / green formatted background has imported fine.

I have to select ONLY black background cells and change their background to resolve this - setting the sheet background does not resolve it.

What version of PHPExcel are you using?

Can you please include the Excel sheet that is causing this problem?

PHPExcel downloaded and installed yesterday - 1.7.5, unzipped and placed into a folder inside the sheetnode module folder, and linked within Drupal's sheetnode settings.

Drupal is 6.20, running Acquia Prosper theme (I have tried with Bluemarine to see if it was theme related, but doesn't change anything).

It's any .xls that I have tried so far, including this test one attached. The data is all there, just with a black background in any cell with data!

.xlsx functionality isn't working either, but that's cos I'm running php 5.1.6 without ZipArchive support....

Is it perhaps a php version issue?

You're right! Thanks for including the file. I thought I had fixed this issue before the release, but there's obviously more to it.

So sit tight and wait for a new PHPExcel version? Thanks for the quick response btw... :)
