I just am trying out Views 6.x-2.11 in a fully updated D6. I was trying to create a new view, tried adding a field to the Filters list, checked the field, pressed the Add button, and up comes "An error occurred at http://domain.org/admin/build/views/ajax/add-item/vCIRKBCopyright/defaul.... Error Description: 0:"

It sounds much like:

"An error occurred at /admin/build/views/ajax/add-item/"
http://drupal.org/node/604000

However I checked the 2.11 version and this version does not have the &$ style variable talked about... already fixed in the 2.11 version. Thus opening a new bug report.

I neglected to state our server environment. It is as follows:

Apache/2.2.8 (Ubuntu)
MySQL 5.0.51a
PHP 5.2.4-2ubuntu5.10
PHP memory limit 128M

The most ajax errors are related to php errors. Can you enable php error display and look whether this is one?

Additional some versions of jquery ui / update makes some problems.
For more informations look at the thousands similar issues.

About php errors: I found this page http://technomancer.me.uk/blog/enabling-php-error-messages-drupal and added the entry to settings.php. Same popup dialog, no verbose error message. Further suggestions please?

I have not installed any module that updates jquery. So the site has the version that comes with D 6.19, which checking that file is: 1.2.6

Yes, disabling Secure Pages mod removes the error.

I assume with that link above you were pointed me at:

"Views + CCK + Secure Pages = Trouble"

Which is a D5 bug, and not a very detailed work around. Could you share a more detailed work around and if the work around still works in D6? Dank sehr viel!

Don't try to translate your words into german. Bablefish(the google translation engine) seems to suck :)

I move this problem now to secure pages because i bet that they know a way to fix the problem.
