Drupal 6.17.

I found the culprit. It may be me. :-) I had a subdomain named store that seemed to be causing the problem. Not sure why? But, it is gone and voilà the path alias started working again. Very strange. I'm almost certain the subdomain was there before SP was turned on, though with this whirlwind I can't be absolutely certain. At any rate, I'm curious to know if the problem may have been caused by SP, Path, Path Auto, or me? If it isn't a bug, and I've jumped to conclusions, then I am sorry; please forgive me and set status to fixed.
