In Internet Explorer everything works well, only in Firefox and in Google Chrome, when adding to cart it switches from http to https and I get a message "There are no products in your shopping cart.".

I added to .htaccess
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www\.example\.com$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://example.com/$1 [L,R=301]

and added to settings.php
$conf['https'] = TRUE;

I also tried to add to settings.php
$cookie_domain = 'mysite.com';
didn't help.

the same is true for me in IE and Safari as well, and it doesn't matter if you are logged in or not. Anonymous checkout is enabled on my site.
