I have a lot of cases where I get errors being thrown for no reason: "The page you requested does not exist. For your convenience, a search was performed using the query " (with no query).

While debugging, I found that search404_get_keys() can return FALSE, but the search404_page() callback ignores this. I think it would make sense to break out of the callback when there are no keys to search for.
