Warnings in search results are missing the "message" class:

<div class="warning">Can't display search result due to conflict between search term and internal preg_match_all function.</div>

Should be

<div class="messages warning">

That little difference causes some crazy repeating background image craziness.

I have this issue too when searching for html tags. Although I haven't looked at a coding fix yet, if "Match whole word" is unchecked, the issue went away for me.
