Using Drupal 6.10, with the Zen Classic theme, Rotor Banner 6.x-2.0, and the latest stable releases of all the prerequisite modules.

This is likely a support rquest, but I'd love it if the process could be explained to me.

Per the INSTALL.txt file, I've created two rotor items, and positioned the rotor block to appear at "content top". I also instructed the block to only appear on the front page. Great, I now have a rotating picture with the desired effect.

Unfortunately for me, the individual rotor items are also showing up as separate posts on the front page. I don't want this. I'd like to instruct those individual rotor items to NOT appear -- but STILL remain part of the rotating picture.

Demoting the individual rotor items from the front page has the effect of removing the image from the rotating banner, which I do NOT want. I just don't want to see the separate posts.

I'm not articulating this perfectly, but I hope you might understand my predicament.

Can you offer suggestion(s) for how to solve this problem?

Looks like simply demoting actually does work. I was experiencing general problems with the module's UI in the Mac Safari browser, but that's another ball of wax.
