Hi. Is there a quick answer to this question? I have looked, but mainly find lots of debate about what should be in the file.

Specifically:

  • How many robots.txt files should it 'create'? One per (sub)domain?
  • How many sitemap.xml files should each robots.txt file point to?
  • What should the path be to each sitemap.xml file pointed to by each robots.txt file?

You can do whatever you like and how. Xmlsitemap creates only one link.
