These modules are only available for D6 and this booking solution is for D7 so I was wondering if this module replaces them for D7? I.e. should either of these modules port to D7 or can users of those modules just use this module instead now?

unfortunately there is no collaboration with the booking api & event module. this was developed as these modules were not available on D7 but the functionality was needed. So there is no migration path from d6 to d7 nor a downport of this module to d6
