Both the 'Settings' and 'Email registrants' pages take ages to load.

Reason, each page seems to need to load about 6100 tokens!

I do not want to switch off the Token module, as the site makes great use of it.

Also I prefer my users NOT to use the reminder email options, as they send the same email to all registrants, included those who cancelled or booked too late above capacity.

So what can be done to stop these two pages having to load all those tokens?
- I tried Token Tweaks but not to any avail.
- It would be great if in structure/registration itself the 'reminder email' and the 'email registrants options could be switched off.
- I can also imagine that only the top of the token tree loads and on request load some more tokens.

Looking forward to a solution for this slowing down problem,

JP

My use case is similar. Looking for my admins to not use site tokens, send emails, override roles that can register - basically allow for more granular control over what is made available on the entity register settings form to make it more appropriate for a user that is not an overall site administrator.

Attached is a patch that renders the token tree in a dialog instead of inline. I too have a site with thousands of tokens and this should make the settings page load much faster. Loading the token dialog itself will still be slow, but that's because you have a lot of tokens.

Hi,

It's work for me.
Now, the js error appears when the tokens list is loading. ;)

Thanks,

Thank you so much for this patch. It works great.

Wow - the patch in #2 has a huge effect (beneficial!) on the load time for a Manage Registrations -> Settings page. THANKS!!!!!

I'd like to advocate for this being addressed in some permanent way. We'd like our users to be able to organize their own events and sent emails. The massive token load is a definite barrier to UX goodness. I'm using 7.x-1.6 and this issue is still present.

wow amazing, just like tokens are usually provided in other areas via popup window, thanks @ChaseOnTheWeb, this should be added in the module!
