Integrate state change with VBO [#1977774]

It would be nice to be able to change the registration state from a view with views bulk operations. For instance, suppose i'm at a check-in desk, where those registered have status "registered" and i want to change them to "checked-in." John Doe arrives with his family, so i type "Doe" into my exposed last name filter, check all the Does with him, and hit a button to change their reg. state.

As @dlx notes, Rules would work for situations where the trigger is internal to the site, but for things like marking attendance, Rules won't work. A VBO action would be a big help to manage registrations.
