Every time a new user register through a referral link, he is shown in the referral history of the referrer, but he does not get any points. I did set up in the userpoints module to give them 50 points without moderating, but it does not work. I do nbot know if this is a failure of the userpoints or referral module.

Yes I notice the same thing, although I haven't gotten the Userpoints module to work at all in 6.x so I think it might be with Userpoints.
