Great module - thanks. Does exactly what I need for adding batch number information to a sales line item at POS. I'm struggling to get it working when using 'form block' module to create my node. I get an AJAX error when it tries to populate the second drop down. Options in this drop down are not limited. Works fine when creating and editing node in node/add form. Any suggestions to get it working in form block?

Maybe Formblock module makes changes to the form elements in some way?

Are there any error messages in the log?

Thanks for the reply Joachim. No errors in the log, but all is fixed - my fault, I needed to patch my formblock module. All works as designed now.
