Problem/Motivation

https://www.drupal.org/project/redis/issues/3074189 has been RTBC for a while, but Drupal 7 releases for the Redis module are happening only rarely. Pantheon customers have a continuing need to run the Redis module on newer versions of PHP and etc., so there is an ongoing need to have continuing Drupal 7 releases.

Steps to reproduce

Proposed resolution

Pantheon will provide resources to test and make new releases on the 7.x-3.x branch.

Remaining tasks

Add greg.1.anderson as maintainer, and grant permission to add/remove other maintainers from Pantheon as necessary. Only the 7.x branch would be in scope for these maintainers.

Fine by me, I'll give @pounard some time to reply, but I expect he's fine with that.

Bump @pounard + @berdir

@Berdir: Could you please add me as a maintainer for this project so that Pantheon may maintain the 7.x branch?

I checked, but I don't have permission to do so, sorry.

Feel free to go with the abandoned module approach if you want to gain access.

OK, thanks.

Per step 2 of Taking over unsupported modules, I have send @pounard a message via his d.o. contact form and requested maintainership of the 7.x branch via that route.

Hello, I'm sorry I don't maintain this module anymore for a few years now. I'd gladly pass maintainership to anyone.

@greg.1.anderson you now have full maintainership rights over the project.

pounard’s picture

@Berdir I gave you right to manage maintainers as well, I have no idea why I didn't do it properly the first time.

Great, thanks @pounard!

Added kporras07 (Pantheon) so that he can make releases.
