Hi, just installed it and it's working great, I have a quicktab block of 5 tabbed blocks created using views.

One question -- when you view the page that has this quicktab block, does it immediately load all blocks that are tabbed within it, or just the content of the first tab that is visible?

I'm hoping that it doesn't load the other blocks until its corresponding tab is clicked, but I wanted to check. If not, is this even possible to do?

Thanks for any info!

I don't think this is ajax, though I would like it to be.

I second this feature request.

Dynamically added content without a browser refresh is a AJAX concept.
And Quick Tabs does load all of the tabs content when the Quick Tabs block is loaded.

I really like the ease of implementation, but the content loading all at once is a major problem for me, as I am using it as a major part of my site's structure. I can't have that much content loading at once.

I am trying to think of a way around that without re-writing the module; I suppose I could use JQuery to load the content into a div when a certain string is matched in the address etc.

This would be a really useful native feature.

OK, I was taking a look and it appears you would have to give the tab links a value (currently they are just #)
Also, the a link tags don't have id's which makes things more complicated.
If I can't find an AJAX work around solution that someone has put together for Quick Tabs, it looks like I'll have to do some customization like adding tab link ids, so I can manipulate things with JQuery.

I would be very interested in this as well. As someone mentioned earlier I also use it to load several views. Making it that a lot of data is being requested and loaded which will not always be looked at.

Even though I still work on 5.x so would much like to see such an enhancement for the 5.x version as well :)

6.x please.

Oh Yes, that would be wonderful.

Using Quick Tabs extensively on my site and it all loads below each other before settling. Not very pretty.

Second this request please ... for 5.1.4

@jmhead please see my last comment on that thread - if you can help out that would be great. The basic idea would be to add an option for ajax loading when creating a new qt block (but only if the jQuery tabs plugin is available) - then in hook_block, make a check for this and only load the content for the active tab, providing an ajax callback to load the content for the other tabs. Degradation without js will be a bit tricky on this one.
