How can i insert content after tab-titles?

Hello,

i must alter the Tab-Titles and insert after the title a counter-result ...

At the moment the structur is this ....

<ul class="quicktabs-tabs quicktabs-style-navlist">
<li class="active first">
<a id="quicktabs-tab-berlin_uebersicht-0" class="active" href="/berlin?qt-berlin_uebersicht=0#qt-berlin_uebersicht">My Title</a>
</li>
</ul>

After the closed a-tag i need a div-container with a counter-result ...

<ul class="quicktabs-tabs quicktabs-style-navlist">
<li class="active first">
<a id="quicktabs-tab-berlin_uebersicht-0" class="active" href="/berlin?qt-berlin_uebersicht=0#qt-berlin_uebersicht">My Title</a>
<div class="counter_result">3445334</div>
</li>
</ul>

In plugin-folder i found QuickQuicktabs.inc and in this the function protected function build_tablinks($active_tab)

This function build the actual tab links ... but how can i alter this function? Can i copy this to a own custom-modul or in template.tpl.php?

Can anyone help me please?
