I can only access the home page under Help. The other links give me something like: "Unable to load page - The requested URI "ghelp:internet#connecting" is invalid"

I also tried opening it through the terminal using "yelp" and got this:

(yelp:3490): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_tool_button_new: assertion `icon_widget == NULL || GTK_IS_MISC (icon_widget)' failed

(yelp:3490): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: invalid (NULL) pointer instance

(yelp:3490): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_signal_connect_data: assertion `G_TYPE_CHECK_INSTANCE (instance)' failed

(yelp:3490): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_toolbar_insert: assertion `GTK_IS_TOOL_ITEM (item)' failed

(yelp:3490): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_tool_button_new: assertion `icon_widget == NULL || GTK_IS_MISC (icon_widget)' failed

(yelp:3490): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: invalid (NULL) pointer instance

(yelp:3490): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_signal_connect_data: assertion `G_TYPE_CHECK_INSTANCE (instance)' failed

(yelp:3490): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_toolbar_insert: assertion `GTK_IS_TOOL_ITEM (item)' failed

I'm just curious if Help has been removed.

Hi Horse,

Yes, I removed a bunch of packages to try and make the image smaller and easier to share.

If you want them back, you could try these commands (but they may download 500mb of data):

# sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop ubuntu-standard
# sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-input-all xserver-xorg-video-all nvidia-common
# sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras

If you try them, let me know the results...

Cheers,

Mike

@MichaelCole - thanks as always for your excellent work on this.

I see that 0.7 is 50% bigger than 0.6. Are there release notes somewhere about what's new? Unfortunately we don't get that through the package system when using this torrent technique.

Just a followup - I see that the Gimp is included (which I always install). That's the kind of package though that could be done after the fact with an apt-get. Maybe to keep things smaller we should provide a number of standard scripts that would add certain things that not everybody is likely to use.

Thanks Mike, that was my suspicion. It is a fairly large low-yield chunk for a project like this.
