Unfortunately, there aren't enough people torrenting this. Not sure how to solve that.
But as a workaround for people I uploaded it and it's available for download at:
Quickstart 0.6
Quickstart 0.7

silkogelman commentedMy webserver stopped seeding for some unknown reason. It's now seeding again.
Direct download locations may be a more solid long term solution.
Maybe Amazon S3 is a more permanent solution?

MichaelCole commentedHi rfay,
I like the AWS solution as well, but 1.7G is alot to move on a network. I could blow through the free monthly limit in 10 downloads. Not sure if I want to invest that much cash in it. I did see some AWS images that were specifically for torrenting. If someone else set one up I'd have no complaints :-)
Was it you who figured out how to get http seeds into the torrent? That would be a best of both worlds situation.

rfayI know nothing about torrents. I think that where the download is now (on DH) is probably legit. We'll see if I get shut down. I don't think I have a bandwidth limit. Happy to help with this if anybody has ideas.

I see Quickstart 0.7 is out! Very cool, I'll put it on my http torrent seedbox.
My webseed uploaded Quickstart 0.6 about 80 times from when I started seeding it 3 months ago.

rfay@s1l, I'm a torrent newbie... Can you point me to info on I could provide an http torrent seed as well?
Comment #6
silkogelman commentedI use Torrentflux (http://www.torrentflux.com/)
There's an install guide in the tar file.
It's old, but it works :)
Comment #7
rfayI put the 0.7 tarball my site for download as an additional resource and edited this node (above) to show that.

Nice, thanks!
@Mike
could you make a torrent file without tracker.publicbt.com inside?
(So only with the openbittorrent.com tracker)
The webseed will seed on 1 tracker at a time, and people won't get the webseed as a peer if their torrent client only looks on the other tracker for peers.

MichaelCole commentedHi S1l, thanks alot for this.
Yes, next torrent I make will just be openbittorrent.com.
I have to reroll QS 0.7 this coming weekend because xdebug config didn't come out right. It's easy to fix, but step-debugging is a major feature for QS. Mean-time, I'm going to continue making some screencasts to show how to use QS this week.
So, yes, new torrent next Sunday with only openbittorrent.com.
Thanks again, and glad you understand the bittorrent way better than I do :-)

when rerolling 0.7 can you call it 0.7.1 or so? Else I think we'll get torrent errors.
Great work on the screencasts, they look good!
@Rfay
nice job on the http download!
