I am a total newbie when it comes to some of this. Please excuse my ignorance.

Quickstart already has Drush installed and enabled.

In the Drush Readme it recommends to create a link or alias to Drush.

Is this already configured?

In terminal when type alias it shows the existing alias but drush is not there.
So I added it with: alias drush='~/drush/drush'

Is this the right thing to do or not?

Thanks,

Hello Izmeez,

Yes, this is link has already been made.

If you type "drush" from the command line, you should get the help info for drush.

If you want to know about the link, type "which drush" and it will point to the shell script /usr/local/bin/drush. This is a link or shortcut to /home/quickstart/drush/drush.

I did this instead of an alias so other users would have access to it.

What's the right thing to do? Depends on your situation, but I'm guessing it's already configured as you need it.

Cheers,

Mike

Thanks, I thought it was already globally available but wasn't sure how to determine if it was a link or what.
