anyone know where i can get the individual drush quickstart package ?? i dont want the virtual image thats on the site right now.. im trying to get this installed on one of my friends laptops since he already has ubuntu installed.. how can this be done?

Hi Duckx,

This has come up before, and the answer is download the code and look through the scripts. There will be some you want to run and some you don't.

IMHO, it's alot of work for a less functional result. Using virtualbox has other benefits. There was another issue or post in the group that addressed this if you want to go down that road.
