yesterday i was able to work without problems but today i could not connect to mysql with root:quickstart ...

drush qc gives up at creating database
...
Creating database: test_test [ok]
Command failed: [error]
ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
...

i did restart quickstart, i deactivated bridged networking and tried to connect via terminal ... nothing helps ...

i use Quickstart 0.9

Hi,

There isn't enough context to understand what went wrong.

Possibly the mysql root password is incorrect or changed. The default is "quickstart". If you changed it and want to change it back, google "change mysql root password". Here's something that looks right, but I didn't test it: http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/mysql-change-root-password/

It may also be that the user doesn't have the right permissions for the SQL it was trying to execute. For example creating a database requires extra special permissions. You may need to research MySQL permissions to debug this.
