After having some trouble I ran fsck on a newly downloaded amd64 Drupal Quickstart VM and it returns errors. Can anyone please test this?

MichaelCole commentedHi, I just ran this and it worked:
sudo touch /forcefsck; sudo reboot
If you run fsck while the os is booted, you'll probably corrupt the file system. There was a big warning about this when I tried it. If it's corrupted on the boot check, then either check your disk, or re-download the image and reimport.
Good luck!

vlad.k commentedI did some more tests and the problem still exists, allthough the error description wasn't accurate.
The downloaded image is correct. But when I start working, after some time the root system becomes read-only because there are file system errors. I ran over this 3 (three) times now. Every time I imported a new clean Quickstart ova-image. I run quickstart-create, import my drupal project, activate xdebug in eclipse and start working. After a while the file system errors occurs. The file system is suddenly read-only and when I reboot into filesystem check, errors are reported.
My configuration:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit
Virtual Box 4.1.0
64-Bit image of Quickstart
Working only with Eclipse, not Netbeans
Can anyone confirm the same configuration? What other configuration information could be relevant?

MichaelCole commentedHi, this is a virtualbox issue. Check the vbox forums. Even if you are able to reproduce it with Quickstart, the only way to get it fixed is to submit a bug report to virtualbox. Quickstart is an integration project, I don't actually program Linux or virtual box.
As a workaround, my gut says look at the "use host i/o cache" setting (settings->storage).
If you find out something, post back!

humansky commented@marsyas, I'm running VirtualBox 4.1.4 on Mac OS X 10.6.8 and I downloaded Quickstart 1.0 amd64.
