Hi,

I'm running quickstart 0.8 and Ubuntu just did a mayor upgrade. It seems that "Disable guest Display auto-resize" is greyed out in the virtualbox menu dropdown, suggesting that auto-resize is enabled. However, It doesn't seem to be working anymore.

Any suggestions to get it working again manually?

Thanks!
Danny

Hi Danny,

Did you re-install the guest extensions? That has to be done most every time the Linux kernel is updated.

Also, on a Ubuntu Host, I've noticed that full-screening when maximized doesn't work. Best to unmaximize and then full-screen.

If you have more trouble, you might find better support on http://forums.virtualbox.org. I only know my specific setup :-)

I click 'install guest additions' and nothing happens. Shouldn't it open a file selection window? I also can't really see how to uninstall them. They seem to be there and greyed out.

'Installing guest additions' only mounts the iso, but it doesn't change anything.

Ok, I found out that I need to (re-)install the guest additions from within the Ubuntu OS. Restarted the VBox and it works great again. Thanks!
