I just installed the latest CVS output for this module. It was working fine when I had taxonomy_access installed, but taxonomy_access was conflicting with the node_privacy_byrole module that I'm using.
Now, I get an access denied error when trying to create a node through quickpost.
I traced the issues to line 191:
$access = user_access('create content');
I'm not too sure but I think the problem is that there's no security setting called 'create content'.
I replaced it with this block of code which checks for specific module access and a catch-all for those modules that can be automatically checked. I really don't know if this is the best way to fix the problem.. I don't know a lot about the drupal api
switch( $type )
{
case "blog":
$access = user_access('edit own blog');
break;
case "event":
$access = user_access('maintain events');
break;
case "forum":
$access = user_access('create forum topics');
break;
case "news_page":
$access = user_access('create news page node');
break;
default:
$access = user_access('create '.$type.'s');
}

skorch commentedActually, changing the line:
$access = user_access('create content');
to
$access = node_access('create', $type);
fixes the issue

pyromanfo commentedOkay, I put the change into CVS. Let me know if anybody has any trouble with it.
