Can quickpost url support no term id?

Could the quickpost syntax support no term id? ie: ?q=quickpost/forum/
I'd like to be able to re-create the Create Content menu to use the quickpost module. A lot of times I don't have a single base taxonomy term and would just like to leave that last argument blank and have the user select which term they want to use.

Currently I get a Page Not Found error if I try and use that syntax.

Does that make sense?
