When I'm creating a new content for any type, the advanced tab doesn't show up. Is this by design? Could it not just do a preview operation on the new post and show the form items when you click on the 'advanced tab' (if it showed up). It is sort of cumbersome to get users to re-edit their post afterwards to get to the advanced tab. They may not even know it exists.

I attached a screenshot of what I'm seeing

Is that not what you're seeing?

Advanced and Hidden are subtabs, and that's the way drupal's menu/tab system shows them by default.

When I edit an existing item, then I get the menu tabs just as you have shown. But when I create a new node, I don't get those tabs and all of the viewable sections are displayed as if quickpost wasn't even installed. Attached is a screenshot of creating the node

And here is a screenshot of editing that new node.

This is a great module btw. It is exactly what I needed so non-technical people (parents) don't get confused by all the options. This should be in the core.

After reading your followup to this issue it may seem that I'm using quickpost incorrectly to create content.

Yes, you're supposed to use /quickpost/forum/tid to post forum topics, check the README

How would you reccomend using quickpost to create new content? When I try adding it to the navigation menu, the tabs dissapear. Is there a way to integrate it with the taxonomy type that the user is currently on and add a 'Add New Item' link near the breadcrumb area at the top of the screen? I'd like to have it as my primary mode of creating nodes, but right now it doesn't seem to be able to do that.

I have it set in my theme, but I need to investigate a way for the "Add New Content" link to be integrated with the taxonomy view possibly via hooks. That's the way I intended it to be used, like a "Post Here" button in a forum.

Basically, when the user is browsing content, and they decide they want to post, they don't think to themselves "Hmm, which categories does this content in my head belong to?" they say "I want to add something here". Context is assumed. So I'll work on making that automatic via hooks.
