Hello,

I would like to use Privatemsg in a project i'm building, the only problem is the Autocomplete 'feature' in the TO field.

Can anyone help me disable this ?
What files to edit ?

My php skills are limited.

There is already an issue to replace the autocomplete field with a select list: #563424: To: dropdown
Please search the issue queue before creating a new issue.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply but i don't want to replace the autocomplete with a dropdown/select list.

I want to disable it completely.

When a user creates a node, Privatemsg prints a Send author a message link that takes the visitor to the author's contact page.
That's it. That's when the recipient is selected.
The visitor shouldn't see a modifiable Recipient field. That will be confusing.

There are no relationships between the users so there won't be any friends/contacts among the users.
