Can you upgrade from version 1.1 to 2.0 without any problems or special requirements?

Yes it should work fine with no special requirements. After upgrade you should see a message to rebuild Node Access Permissions.

Please test on a dev site before using on an important live site - hopefully that's obvious for any module major version upgrade:-).
