Why plupload left Gears out of the available list of runtimes

Hi,

In plupload.module, when populating the plupload library array gears is not listed in the runtime field (only html5, flash and html4 are listed).

Just by adding gears in this list, i am able to have drag n drop for users of IE 6 - 8 after installing Gears. (IE 9 is not supported).

I know Google Gears was deprecated, but it still works for older browsers. In my tests everything worked fine...

Is there any specific reason why gears was left out?
