I get the following error in Firebug javascript console

TypeError: $(...).pluploadQueue is not a function
$(this).pluploadQueue(pluploadSettings);

If I add a plup upload widget to the imagefield, the wysiwyg/ckeditor disappears and plupload does not work

Any pointers will be highly appreciated

For whatever reason I could not get ckeditor to work with plup and I switched to

Multiupload Imagefield Widget

and Multiupload Filefield Widget

Works well but no drag and drop which is Ok.

I encountered the exact same error in Console. I solved this issue by reading the README.txt file more closely. You have to download plupload 1.5.8 and install it into sites/all/libraries. Then delete the "example" folder within that directory. The newer version of plupload 2.x.x does not work. You can check to make sure you have everything installed correctly by going to "/admin/reports/status" or Reports > Status report.

Hope this helps anyone that also encounters this issue.
