I seem to get through the setup and install on modules just fine, following the steps, etc... but then it all stops and I don't know where to go from there. Somewhere I've missed the bus on what to do after that point - the instructions for "use" always assume I know so much more than i do... so anyway, I have setup all I can and now I create content - picasa guser - and it shows my albums - click on an album and a new page opens basically a link to my picasa site. I somehow think there must be more I can do with this but don't know where to start.

I understand your confusion. The use instructions assume that the user has a full understanding of nodes and how they work in Drupal. One of the points of frustration I had with my learning curve is that exact issue. I'll work on documentation that will be of use to you and place it as a handbook page.

Hi,
I agree, after installing it I don't know where to go from there. It contacts the Google website because I can see that it reads my number of albums in the Google data. But how to actually show the albums in a node is unclear.
Hope you can write a few lines that explain how to continue after the installation.
Greetings,
Rob

Some (any) documentation would be helpful.

I've spent a couple of hours now installing the module and trying to figure out what I'm missing.

I got the module installed, created a Picasa guser node, and have gone through the authentication stuff with Google. Now I'm totally lost.

The guser node that I created shows I have 0 public albums, however when I go to edit the node and look at Google data it says I have 2 public albums. Where do I go from here?

I'd really like to be able to utilize this to display pictures vs something else as I already use Picasa to organize photos, but we need some sort of instruction to continue. Even if you don't produce anything formal, can you give us a couple of step-by-step directions to get us started?

Thanks!

Sounds almost like you've updated your google information after creating the Guser node. Try editing your Guser node and it will initiate communication with Google ... that should bring the Drupal node up to date with the Google data.

Still shows 0.

http://www.pearhead.org/node/130 is the guser.

Under node/130/edit, under Google Data, openSearch:totalResults: shows 2.

I tried editing the guser and submitting. I have even tried deleting the node and starting creating another guser node (the link I give above is for the new node).

The albums are here:

http://picasaweb.google.com/kb0kqa

It shows 2 there.

The problem is related to the version of PHP. My installation was running PHP4. When I bump it to PHP5 it shows the two albums, although then I have other Drupal issues I need to deal with.

I've overcome my other problems with PHP5 and Drupal.

The first thing I notice is that the dates that the module shows for the albums are wrong (they all show Dec 31, 1969).

Second thing - I still don't know how to actually use the module. For starters, I'd like to have a random image block. Is that possible?
