From the get go, I may have had tagadelic setup "wrong" and in an odd crunch now. I had setup a new Taxonomy Category called Tags in which all tags were to be stored. However the URL aliases were all generating right off the main directory (ie: www.example.com/dogs instead of www.example.com/tags/dogs). By some malfeasance, I just ignored it and let it be. A month has passed, writers have generated tags to each article. Now all these tag categories are confusing readers.
How can I change all the existing tags URL aliases (tax terms) with one swoop so that they all have an added /tags/ in front of them. Of course I know of ways to do so, but what would be a recommended method so that I don't irrevocably mess up.

sjf commentedThis sounds like a pathauto question rather than a tagadelic question. Go to Admin > Site Building > URL Aliases and click on delete aliases. From here you can remove existing vocabulary and term aliases Then click on Automated alias settings. Under Taxonomy term path settings, you can change the default path pattern for each vocabulary. You just need to add "tags/" before your existing pattern.
Check the box "Bulk generate aliases for terms that are not aliased" and click save. That should do it.
If you want to make sure that people who may have bookmarked your previous pages aren't taken to a 404 page, you might want to consider installing Path Redirect
