Problem/Motivation

There is plenty of time (currently August 2023) to plan for and build support for the new method to log exceptions. I see just 1 occurrence of watchdog_exception in the code base.

Steps to reproduce

Proposed resolution

After 10.0 looses support, commit a patch that bumps the minimum version for the module to 10.1 and make the adjustments for this module.
