Fatal error calling "bulk generate" when the "Forum" module is enabled

Bug confirmed. My fault! :(

Here is a patch which fixes the issue. I will update my patch later with a test to make sure we don't regress forums again.

Now with a test. There is no need to create a forum ourselves. This is automatically done when installing the "Forum" module.

Yeah, forum again.. thanks for the test, hopefully we won't regress as badly as this anymore in the future thanks to that.

I have the same issue but using cpanel so cannot apply diff file - no command line access. Please release new dev version asap or please email me the new files so that I can copy the module in to my modules/pathauto folder

A new dev release is already available, see the "Development releases" section at the very bottom of the https://www.drupal.org/project/pathauto page. The only file which you need to update/upload is src/Plugin/pathauto/AliasType/ForumAliasType.php. Other changes are only about tests, so you don't need them.

I applied the files and still get the same error.

I still get the same problem with the new code installed in Drupal 8.2.5. I've posted the error message. Please help fix.
