pathauto & other languages support (i18n ?)

Hi
I would like to find out if there is a option using pathauto module for a hebrew drupal installation
the scenario is :
i would like to set up a vocabulary "groups" and set terms "groupA" and "groupB", but in hebrew
but i want the url path for this to be english : groups/groupA/[nid]

is that possible ?

I have tried using i18n to set up the terms in english and then translate them to hebrew
the node setting i have used is [vocab]/[term]/[nid]
the category setting i have used is groups/[term]/[nid]
and i get the hebrew strings

help will be appreciated
