dave reidAlright I think I figured out what was wrong. Beginning and trailing slashes in the 'from' path should be removed before the value is inserted into the database. I have fixed the issue in 6.x-1.x and even added a test to make sure it doesn't happen again.

mradamjohn commentedIs one symptom of this problem failure for page load?
IE prompts download of index.php after install.. I think it is related here.
More verbose description of the symptoms/history;
multi domain setup, all domains worked.
path redirect installed on domain.com
domain.com loads normally in all respects when using FF
domain.com/index.php path is specified IE loads, otherwise download prompted of index.php
path redirect disabled, problem persists
path redirect uninstalled, problem persists

dave reid@LiveLoveWorkPlay If that's the case, then path redirect is at no fault here since you uninstalled the module and the problem persists. Sounds like a PHP or web server configuration issue.
