Path Access is a relatively unknown, yet indispensable module. Here's why:

1. If you take a hierarchical approach to Url naming like I do, you only have to set one parameter to make huge chunks of your site invisible to certain users.

2. Expanding one reason number 1, pages you don't want indexed will be invisible, too.

3.Save bandwidth. I have several Drupal installations up, and I have to say-- this module is a dandy. My other sites that do not have this module installed get a lot of play on pages I didn't even know existed....Thus a waste of bandwidth

Thoughts?

Not totally sure what you are getting at.

Are you wanting a way to prevent some pages being indexed, but still accessible? Like robots.txt or nodewords?

I don't see this functionality ever making it into the Drupal core. The Drupal core provides a user permissions and access framework. It is the job of contrib modules like path_Access to build on this to implement specific types of access controls like like this.

With over a year of inactivity on this post, I'm marking this as won't fix.
