There is a page in the handbook that explains how to file useful issue reports. I recommend you read it, because I have absolutely no idea what you're asking in this post.

I've had similar problems, maybe it has something to do with #745808: Comma instead of period in flexible layout CSS?

wallbay1’s picture

what don't you understand ?
what i am saying is the flexible layout is not working properly. I created a layout using flexible layout with two columns
center (70%) and left column 30%

but the layout doesn't show the content in these two columns instead it keeps showing them one on top of another like it was a single column

Did you already check whether #745808: Comma instead of period in flexible layout CSS has something to do with it? To do so, disable CSS optimization, and take a look at the CSS file sites/default/files/ctools/css/5d9ffd10ff187c86aae774a6815072f1.css?0 (or a similar name, you can obtain it by looking at the HTML source of your website) and check whether it contains something like

.panels-flexible-region-12-center {
  float: left;
  width: 49,8513%;
}

with commas instead of periods as decimal separator.

Please go read up on how to file reasonable issues.

1) I can't see your system.
2) I don't know what modules you have installed on your system.
3) I don't know what your theme does.
4) I don't know what browser you're using
5) I can't read your mind.

Are you asking someone to go into your site and look directly and see what's wrong? Because I can hook you up with support people who will do that but that's the kind of thing you have to pay for.

Otherwise, you need to provide some actual help here. Flexible is working for most people. It's known that there is a problem with Internet Explorer and the 30 style sheet limit (Hint: That's a problem with IE, not a bug in Panels). It's known that themes can cause the CSS to fail and the issues to collapse.

I do not have the time to *guess* what might be wrong for you without knowing specifics. Can you provide instructions to reproduce this on a fresh install? I doubt it.

As I said in the earlier issue, there is a post that you should read about providing proper issue reports. It's clear from your follow up that you chose not to read this. You can, of course, choose not to, but I assure you that you will find very little help. And since you chose not to read this, I am marking this issue "won't fix".

Oh one other known issue: The Panels custom CSS stuff does not work with the 'private' file system. That's unfixable.

hey guys just a thought
I am wondering if maybe i m having trouble with these panels because of my server configuration!!!
because on another server (godaddy) it works fine but on the one I am using now it creates these problems here are the features they offer me http://www.lizaweb.com/?lang=en&action=webhosting&submenu=1 I am not a developer so i don't know i just noticed that my sites on godaddy works fine but on that other server i have issues with panel
thanks for any help

if it's a theme problem, I don't know I am using framework and yast (framework subtheme)

Have had the same problem due to using private file system. Wish I had seen this earlier.

Wallbay1, I had a the same problem but just found out that clearing the cache solved the problem.

My case was that I had Ctools 1.4 installed, prior to installing Panels. I found out that Panels would only work with Ctools 1.8. Having upgraded the Ctools and installed Panels, I had the same problem as yours. But problem went away after I cleared the cache.

Not sure if this may help but give it a try. Good luck!

this is happening to me as well.

i create a variant for my content type "game," and use flexible layout.
i create a region to the right, and add a view to the "center" region, and one to the "right" region.
the 2 regions appear stacked on top of each other.
i also created a column, with a region in it, and got the same results.
i'll attach some pics.

i checked my ctools for commas, and didn't have any.
my file system is set to public

EDIT: interesting, #11's tip did the trick. I cleared cache, and all is working now. Maybe these pictures will help someone else.
